The founder of Volcano Active Foundation warns of the need to stay alert to volcanic activity, "otherwise we'll be hit with an environmental crisis that will affect us on all levels”.
“The hazards of nature appear to be inevitable, but catastrophes are not natural - they emerge due to a lack of preparation, prevention, mitigation, education and monitoring. What we have here are the threats or dangers of nature", says volcanologist Anne Fornier.
The French lady is at Worldcanic to issue a warning that "major volcanic eruptions can release enough material into the atmosphere to change the planet's climate”. And so she reminds us of what her foundation is calling for: to be prepared and work on prevention. She will touch on programmes during the congress.
