Sebastián Vásquez

Geologist and associate on the Volcano School programme

Born in Colombia, geologist Vásquez Valencia studied and forged his career in Catalonia.

Sebastián Vásquez Valencia was born in 1992 in Cali (Colombia), and lived there until the age of 12, when he emigrated to Spain with his family, specifically to the Catalan town of Cambrils, where he completed his compulsory schooling. His passion for earth sciences led him to study a degree course in Geology, a Master's in Geological Risks at the University of Barcelona and a CSIC International Vulcanology Course in the volcanic region of La Garrocha, Catalonia.

He now divides his time between his work as a geologist and his passions: mountains and coordination of group adventures.
